Manhattan’s Leading Open Shop General Contractor

With challenging traffic, an ever-growing number of regulations and upward pressure on costs, Manhattan is the world’s most demanding and high-stakes construction location. Our ability to navigate this maze of challenges and consistently complete projects in 20 to 22 months at costs 20 to 30 percent below closed shop construction rates has made Flintlock Construction Services among New York’s most active general contractors. We were the first open shop in Manhattan to build projects of more than 11, 20, and 30 stories. We proved we could build super luxury residences with the completion of 18 Gramercy Park South, a high-end condominium that sold for more than $4,500 per sq. ft. At the Hilton Garden Times Square, we demonstrated our ability to build in the toughest locations (Broadway & 42nd St), digging 45 feet into the ground between two landmark buildings on property fronted by a subway station – while ensuring an electronic billboard was operating and providing income before the building was topped off.

Constructing Quality Buildings Economically, So You Can Develop Projects Successfully

Quite simply, no other open shop general contractor has our experience with large projects in Manhattan, and no closed shop contractor can build to our quality standards at Flintlock’s target budgets. Our highly skilled tradesmen, long established network of high quality subcontractors, company-owned construction equipment and back office management capabilities keep us in complete control of all facets of construction. We assign an in-house project manager to head every contracting project, and hold weekly review meetings with project developers attended either by Andrew or Stephen “Chip” Weiss, our founders. With an administrative office in Westchester County and a construction office in midtown Manhattan, we’re only minutes away from our construction sites in the heart of New York City.
